Sol Ontell
Wellness Care Team, AMFT She/Her
Sol is an integrative, holistic psychotherapist with a MA in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and a certification as a Holistic Health Practitioner from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Her philosophy is that in order to cultivate authentic healing, we must address not only the mind— but the body and spirit. Her approach is warm, relational, and humorous. She draws from modalities such as IFS, DBT, somatic experience, psychodynamic therapy, and existential psychology.Â
Sol completed her clinical training in a PTSD recovery intensive outpatient recovery program where she gained experience working with trauma, mood disorders, grief, chronic pain, and substance abuse. Her hope is that through working alongside her, clients can build the capacity for change, uncover strengths, improve communication, regulate emotions, and strengthen relationships.
As a multiethnic, bi-cultural woman, Sol spent her life tethered in various worlds, languages, cultures, and values. Her unique background has informed her mission to provide culturally-competent, person-centered therapy. In addition to providing psychotherapy, Sol provides psychedelic integration, psychedelic preparation, and group ketamine facilitation.
Sol is especially interested in working with marginalized communities including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ folks, people living with disabilities, and those with alternative lifestyles such as members of the poly/kink community.
